The Five Tenets
What we train into every student
General Choi Hong Hi codified five tenets as the moral backbone of Taekwondo. We open every class by naming one.
-
01
Ye Ui 예의 — Courtesy
Show respect and consideration for others, on and off the mat.
-
02
Yom Chi 염치 — Integrity
Know right from wrong, and stand by it even when no one is watching.
-
03
In Nae 인내 — Perseverance
Push through difficulty until practice quietly becomes progress.
-
04
Guk Gi 극기 — Self-Control
Master your reactions before you ever master your kicks.
-
05
Baekjul Boolgool 백절불굴 — Indomitable Spirit
Get back up every time the mat puts you down. No exceptions.

Master Morgan Hubbard 5th-Degree Black Belt · Owner & Head Instructor
Master Morgan Hubbard began training in Taekwondo as a teenager after experiencing bullying and wanting the confidence to protect himself and others. Martial arts helped him become more confident, and ultimately became a lifelong calling.
Now a 5th-degree black belt, Master Hubbard has spent years teaching children, teens, and adults. As owner and head instructor, his goal is to give students the guidance, encouragement, and structure they need to grow both on and off the mats.
